Introduction: In the report of the analytical Parsnews, Iran is among ten countries which their population goes to the elderly and its population will reach to breakeven that means equality of the number of births and deaths in 30 years, the subject those experts consider as the old crisis (1). Therefore, financial and human resources expenses to care elderly people whether in nursing homes or in hospitals is a big challenge. Saving lives of many elderly people with early diagnosis is possible by regular and accurate monitoring of their health which mobile health technology is one of the easiest and most available solutions. In this regard, a study in the USA showed that 86% of people over 65 years suffer from at least one chronic disease that three quarters of health care, expense, financial pressure and medical resources allocate to their treatment. The best way to reduce medical expenses and increase empowering community members is preventing chronic diseases and accurate managing of health procedures (2). On the other hand, people’s trend to carry their mobile phone everywhere and their interest to their phones provides increasing opportunity for this technology usage in health field (3). WHO (World Health Organization) defines mobile health as providing healthcare services by using mobile devices like mobile phones, patient navigation devices, PDA (Personal Digital Assistants) and other wireless devices (2). In this regard, the results of Antonicelli et al. study entitled “impact of tele-monitoring at home on the management of elderly patients with congestive heart failure” in 2008 showed that tele-monitoring system reduces readmission rate and regular use of drugs by studied elderly people (4). Grundgeiger et al. in 2011 in their study entitled “Mobile Health Technologies: Applications to Benefit Older Adults” mentioned that mobile health is most likely to reduce demand for labor in the medium term by making applications for elderly people’s care, encouraging them to more self-management and also providing more effective communications among health care providers, heads of households and elderly people (5). It is predicted that until 2014, public and private health care providers can save from 1.96 to 5.83 billion dollar in medical expenses all over the world by using mobile health technologies by health monitoring (6). Conclusion: Available and cheap modern technologies like mobile phone should be used in the best way to reduce healthcare expenses, empower people, and improve monitoring of patients by continuous assessing disease signs and symptoms, control of patients to follow self-management programs and prevent from chronic diseases. Mobile health technology empowers elderly people and prevents from their chronic diseases by enabling continuous monitoring on people’s health. Finally, mobile phone applications can reduce expenses, improve health care quality, and also change health behaviors by promoting prevention and then improving health in the long term

Research tools include questionnaire based on the goal setting theory's House model (directive, supportive, participative ,achievement oriental) and morale' components (belongingness, rationality, identification) based on Getzels and Guba model questionnaire. The content and face validity using the validity and reliability through Cronbach's alpha coefficient. (r1 = 0.82) and (r2 = 0.89) was calculated. The research data was analyzed through SPSS18 single sample t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, multiple regression. Results: In Isfahan University directive, supportive, participative leadership styles, mean scores were higher than mean criteria and achievement oriental leadership mean scores were lower than mean criteria and morale' components (belongingness, rationality, identification) mean scores were higher than mean criteria. In Isfahan University of Medical Sciences participative leadership styles, mean scores were higher than mean criteria and directive, achievement oriental leadership styles mean scores were lower than mean criteria and morale' components (belongingness, rationality, identification) mean scores were higher than mean criteria. Correlation coefficient between scores on leadership styles and morale's faculty members in the Pvalue≤0.05 was significant. Introduction: The manual and paper-based process of production and storage of medical records in Iran have led to difficulties in filing and retrieval of the medical records. One of the usual solutions is using computerized medical records via electronic storage of paper-based medical records. The aim of this study was to recognize using computerized medical records in nine selected hospitals. Methods: In an observational, descriptive study, 9 hospitals in Ahvaz, Isfahan and Shiraz that used electronic storage method to store their medical records were evaluated. Data was collected by a checklist and a questionnaire whose validity and reliability have been previously confirmed. Direct observation and semi-structured interviews were conducted for data collection. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: Using computerized medical records have advantages such as accelerating storage and retrieval of medical records, costs reduction of medical records maintenance, and improving the security of patients' information in the studied hospitals. The most important challenges observed in using computerized medical records were lack of proper infrastructure, using inappropriate hardware equipments, existence of different software systems and lack of data integration. Conclusion: Overall, the results of this study showed that the use of computerized medical records in hospitals can enhance the retrieval and access to medical records and help solve the problem of space shortage in medical record departments.

Introduction: With reviewing of scientific production in any field, strategic planning could be conducted for policy research assessment, improve the quality of research activities and evaluate obtained promotions. This study aimed to analyze the content and citation of published articles in the journal of "Health Information Management". Methods: In this descriptive study, the content and Citation of 175 articles published in the Journal of “Health Information Management” was analyzed from 2004 till 2010. The analyze was conducted using a checklist and obtained data was entered in Excell software. The validity of checklist was confirmed by experts. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics such as data classification based on frequency distribution and mean and charts drawing. Results: Most authors (58%) from 531 authors of 175 articles were male. Most of the authors (263 author) were at PhD level; the academic level of most of them was assistant professor (116 author) and most of them were affiliated to Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. Most of the studied articles were descriptive (127 titles), the most used tool was questionnaire (76 titles) and the most used subject descriptors were hospitals (30 titles). Most type of published articles were research ones(150 titles) and most of them were extracted from approved projects(60 titles). Greatest numbers of articles (51 titles) were published in 2010 with most subject trends of “Management" (Title 50). Most citations were referred to the articles (43%) with latin sources of language (58%).Self citation to authors and journals was reported in 4.45% and 1.05% of articles. Conclusion: The behavioral pattern of authors should be pushed to writing analytical papers and using various and novel methods in the field of information management in the healthcare field.
